This is to announce the sudden home-going of
Mrs. Earnestine F. W. Smith, Former President of the College of West Africa High
School. Mrs. Smith, who had relocated to Liberia to help with the restoration of
CWA, her beloved school, died on Monday, September 27th in Monrovia. She will
truly be missed by all, especially for her tireless service and countless
efforts to help restore CWA to its glory days.
CWA-AA, USA Executive Board, through it's National President, is in contact with
the President of CWA to ensure that CWA and CWA-AA, USA is represented and
participate in the home-going of its own dear Mrs. Smith. If you intend to
travel to Liberia for the funeral services or would like to assist in any way,
please contact the Association - via the public affairs or the President (cwauspresident@yahoo.com).
CWA-AA, USA prays that God grants his "unmatched" comfort and peace to the
family of Mrs. Smith (Gwendolyn and family) and prays that her soul rests in
peace and light perpetual shines upon her.
Mrs. Smith also served as Registrar and Instructor. She will not only be
remembered for her tough disciplinary actions, but for her great love of music,
which she so brilliantly imparted into students at CWA- like "Let my people go,"
"Foxes in the Middle," and many more Smith-la classics.
