The President of the College of West Africa High School (CWA) Rev. Yatta Roslyn-Young has commended the school alumni based in the United States of America for identifying with their Alma Matter, especially at the time the school needs support.

Rev. Young gave the commendation over the weekend when the school Alumni Association based in the United States through its representative in Liberia; Mr. Wynslow Reeves officially presented school materials valued more than US$ 40,000.00 to authority of CWA.

The CWA President said the donation by the school Alumni Association in the USA will go a long way in meeting some of the basic institutional needs of the school which were vandalized during the civil war in the country.

Rev. Young recalled that when she took over the affairs of the school, everything there was in shamble noting, "with the support of the Alumni Association in America and its hard working President, Ms. Sylvia Henri, the school is beginning to get back on its feet."

Rev. Young called on other alumni of the school elsewhere not to neglect their alma matter by emulating the good example of their colleagues in America.

She acknowledged that the donation will enable the school to develop the minds of the students in preparing them for the future challenges.

The CWA President then assured the Alumni that materials donated would be used for the intended purpose.

Earlier, the Alumni representative in Liberia, Mr. Wynslow Reeves said that they decided to identify with their alma matter to help make the school effective.

He pointed out that the Alumni Association would do everything to help bring the image of CWA to its prewar status. Mr. Reeves assured authority of the school that the Alumni Association will continue to support the school in its endeavor to educate the future leaders of the country.
