ANNOUNCEMENT - OCTOBER 2020!
Open Nominations for National Officers of CWA-AA, USA INC.
The National Convention and Election of Officers is scheduled for January 16, 2021.
In keeping with our By-Laws, we are requesting nominations for candidates for all positions beginning October 15, 2020 – December 31, 2020 (deadline). Positions that are not contested within that time frame will be opened on January 16, 2021. There will be no nominations from the floor for positions already applied for. You may nominate yourself or an alumnus/a for an opened position (one per candidate). The counting of ballots and the announcement of elections results will be done immediately by the election facilitator. Stay tuned for additional information and updates via email regarding the nomination process.
All applicants for position must be individuals who attended or graduated from the College of West Africa High School.
Voting will be conducted through a virtual platform (online polling – real time results); there will be instructions for members unable to vote via the virtual platform to ensure their votes are accessed quickly and included by the facilitator and committee.
October - November, 2020 (TBA) - Agenda planning/coordination with Election Committee
December 15, 2020 - Pre-Convention Registration Deadline
January 16, 2021 - National Convention (election of officers)
Class designees will form part of the Election Committee to ensure a representation of members from the different decades (generations) of CWA alumni. A neutral facilitator will manage these events for synergy and fairness. wqThe Committee would like to ensure all members are able to participate and elect their choices among their peers.
Importantly, despite delays caused by the corona-virus pandemic, response to requests for employment and education verification, notifications, class/group announcements, and all operations are still on-going. Please continue to wash hands, stay physically distant, follow state/local guidelines and stay safe. Stay tuned for important updates and new developments.

CWA High School
The College of West Africa ("CWA") is a Methodist high school in Monrovia, Liberia. The school was opened in 1839 (as the "Monrovia Seminary"), making it one of the oldest European-style schools in Africa.
CWA High School is OPENED and fully operational [2020 - 2021 school year].
